Domaine Amélie & Charles Sparr
Domaine Amélie & Charles Sparr is a dynamic Alsace winery blending tradition and innovation. Based in Wettolsheim, this husband-and-wife team combines Amélie's grower heritage with Charles' 12th-generation Sparr family winemaking legacy (dating to 1634). After rebuilding their vineyards from scratch - Charles bought his first parcel at just 16 - they launched their domaine in 2013 and began bottling their wines in 2017. Working 20 hectares of biodynamic vines, including 4 Grand Crus, they craft exciting Alsace wines that honor tradition while embracing modern techniques.
Their journey from selling grapes to creating their distinctive wines reflects their innovative spirit, making them one of Alsace's most compelling new producers. The result is a fresh take on classic Alsace styles that's both authentic and forward-thinking.
