Louis & Catherine Poitout

Life took Louis and Catherine outside of Chablis, in Alsace, to Paris... and in 2003, their desire and destiny finally
called them back to their homelands, in Burgundy. They had the opportunity to realize an almost unspoken dream,
today brought to fruition by an extraordinary plot of land and an exceptional range of wines. The Domaine de L&C
Poitout has thus been structured into two locations. Wine production is based in the magnificent village of Fleys and
the cellar is located in Chablis, in the heart of the Vineyard. The vines form a constellation spread over 26 hectares,
uniting an original plot running on the lands of Tonnerre, Lignorelles, Villy, Maligny, Fleys and Chichée as well as
Chablis in its center. The jewel of their production is L'Inextinct - a Monopole in Franc de Pied which comes from a
single plot of old vines rescued from phylloxera.

Bourgogne Rouge Vendemiola

This is the only red of the estate: 100% pinot noir from “L’adroit des Champs Boudon”, Tonnerre terroir, lively attack and supple tannins. The
palate is finishing with delightful notes of morello cherry, raspberry or blackcurrant and an irresistible desire to share!

Petit-Chablis Selection

Located at the top of the coast or on the beginning of the plateau, the terroirs benefit from loamy and sandy soils, up to brown and hard limestone. Like all the Domaine's Chardonnays, it is aged without barrels in order to solely highlight the values of its terroir.

L'Inextinct is indeed a rare and unique wine. The Chardonnay for this wine is sourced from a 0.45 hectare plot of ungrafted (Franc de Pied) pre-phylloxera vines which is over 100yo. 2,160 bottles of this wine were made.

Bourgogne Blanc Tonnerre

A light bodied Chardonnay from Tonnerre terroir close to Chablis. The delightfully salted and iodised finish is delicate and reveals aromas of
lemon zest and pomelo. The whole is fresh and palatable and leaves a long-lasting feeling in the palate.

Chablis Selection

This Chablis comes from a mosaic of plots spread out on either side of the Vallée du Serein. The vines, planted on slight slopes, benefit from a favorable exposure from West to East. It expresses a very fresh, lively and mineral nose. Notes of flint and acacia combine perfectly.
