Loire Valley
The Loire Valley is one of France’s most diverse and picturesque wine regions, stretching along the Loire River from the Atlantic coast to the center of the country. Known as the “Garden of France,” it produces a wide range of wines—from crisp whites and elegant reds to sparkling and sweet dessert wines. The region is divided into four main sub-regions: Nantes, Anjou-Saumur, Touraine, and the Centre-Loire, each with its own climate, soil, and grape varieties. Famous appellations include Muscadet, Sancerre, Chinon, and Vouvray, showcasing grapes like Melon de Bourgogne, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. The Loire Valley is celebrated for its freshness, balance, and strong expression of terroir.
